I saw this bird and at first thought there was an escaped parrot in the neighborhood. First time I have ever seen a Western Tanager in Oregon.

There are a ton in our neighborhood! First time I've ever seen one too, and I thought the same thing--someone's escaped pet. They like to hang out in Woodmansee Park too.
