The gardeners go traveling....

So, we have friends that wanted garden boxes. We talked about putting them in last summer and Matt and I got a day off together that actually worked for the Bakers and miracle of miracles, it was a beautiful sunny day! We loaded up some tools, wheel barrel, shovels, a couple of boards from our old deck, picked up a yard of "poo dirt" as Tami called it and headed over. Our hosts fed us coffee cake and coffee....we chatted and leisurely worked away. In 3 hours we were done! Including one row of peas planted. Their two kids Zoe and Zane were "big" helpers. Second miracle......we didn't have to leave the house to get anything!!!! No trip to Home Depo...no we need ___________. Granted it was a simple project but we thought of everything we might need and all we bought was one yard of "poo dirt" which was the perfect amount. Zoe is ready to plant the whole garden but alas the Kintner's are too early for once (like by a whole month!) It was a great morning and fun to take our love of gardening to friends.

Our Almond tree in full bloom!
